Module 8 - Dysart 3rd

Insturctional design:
Our team began with the standards and objectives to create the unit. We then incorporated CFQ's that very closely align with the standards. We use projects for students to learn the content.

Technology Integration:
Then we determined various ways we could integrate technogly and 21st Century skills. Our assessments were created directly from the standards and CFQ's.

Assessment Strategies:
The various parts of the unit have different types of assessments that are various and ongoing. The assessments lessons, and projects are students centered inquiry based


We want constructive feedback on our Photo Story presentation however you would like to give it to us.

  1. I like how you have the narration on the presentation. This also helps keep you on task and under time allotment. You have great samples and details of each. Your sequence is logical and easy to follow.

    You have a lot of different technology activities that would appeal to different learners.

  2. Narrating your PhotoStory was a great idea - takes the pressure off the night of the presentation.

    I think the kids will really enjoy the GPS activity.

    I know of a great book, "If you Find a Rock" - maybe not too helpful, but you can use the literature with your unit.

    You could also have the students take digital photos of rocks they find or real rock samples and create multimedia presentations about the rocks, like a Photostory or something to tell about that type of rock. Just a thought!

  3. The voice recording is awesome! I like your integration of technology to support students learning. I really like the web quest you have incorporated to help assess and attend to the differences in students' learning. I would like to use that in my classroom.

  4. I like how you went into more detail about each activity. The presentation was great.
    I think that the kids will enjoy this unit. The GPS hunt sounds fun.
    I am impressed by the webquest. How do you make one of those? It it easy to do?

  5. I like the different kinds of technology you're students will be using. Your student samples went into the presentation seamlessly to give the audience an idea of the expected results.
